Our Time is Now

Post image for Our Time is Now
If we are lucky, a time comes in our lives, when we realize there is nothing left to wait for to begin our work. Not because we have figured it all out, but because we realize our time is now. Today is the day for me.

My body has been sore and weak for years, and rather than waiting for it to be otherwise, I am bringing my whole self to meet my whole self here where it is; and instead of thinking my limitations are in the way of my life, I’ll allow them to shape the form my life takes.

It is the middle of April. I am blessed to be in Northern California with dear friends. It rains today. I leave in a few days to return to New England and what I hear is a spring in full swing. When I get home I will begin to dig in the garden dirt and when I get tired I’ll lay down my spade and rest on the soft ground and see if I can’t feel the life beginning to unfurl in and around me.

Tomorrow I’ll post the introduction to my first series of posts, The Soil of Listening, and on Thursday I’ll begin the series. And we’ll go from there.  I really hope this work will support you in your life, allow you to pause and connect with your heart, or stop and listen to the springtime where you are. Please check out the pages at the top of this site to learn more.

I look forward to sharing this new project and hearing from you.
