Sex, Love & Liberation: A Conversation and a Manifesto

Something about summer and the heat and all the blooming flowers are bringing me into my feminine power. So it is with great pleasure that I introduce the work of another woman exploring what it means to be a sexual being, a sensuous lady, a vulnerable human.

Ev’Yan Nasman writes the blog Sex, Love & Liberation and today she is launching her first ebook: Sex, Love, Liberation: A Manifesto for the Bold at Heart. You can learn more about it and buy it here.

In this manifesto Ev’Yan invites us all to become the sensuous beings that we are.

Here is one of my favorite quotes:

Your sensuality is also the embodiment of all of your senses, even the ones that aren’t readily available, like your intuition. It is comprised of all of your secrets, the barely-there characteristics that make up everything you are. Sensuality is awareness.” —Ev’Yan Nasman

I had the pleasure of talking with Ev’Yan about Sex, Love, Liberation: A Manifesto for the Bold at Heart and I’m thrilled to share this conversation with all of you. In this video we talk about:

  • what it means to be bold,
  • how writing can be a form of listening,
  • and the importance of slowing down to come into our truth.

I hope you enjoy! [If you are reading this as an email you may need to click through to the post to watch!]

And finally, my favorite piece of advice Ev’Yan offers in her book:

“Wear underthings that bring you closer to divinity.” —Ev’Yan Nasman

If you want all the rest of the advice Ev’Yan has to offer buy her book, join her community, and read her blog.

I’ll be launching my own ebook soon: How to Start an Inner Revolution: A Call to Listen. I’m excited to share it with you…and I know you want it! But we all will have to hold our horses because I move real slow around here, partly because of the heat and partly because I like slow—it is sensuous and creative. So maybe when the weather cools in the early autumn I’ll bring it forth for you. Until then you can dream about it and be sure to subscribe by email to my blog so you know when it arrives.

Thanks M. It was great fun interviewing Ev’Yan and beginning to learn how to use iMovie. I’m really excited about all the possibilities of video as a way to make art and relationship!
